Every summer in Lucca there is the Lucca Summer Festival, an event that sees great artists perform in the beautiful city. It is only 20 minutes away by car or train from us and we can book a taxi for the return journey.

NIC CESTER & THE MILANO ELETTRICA
The Australian singer, frontman of the Jet, returns to Lucca accompanied by Milano Elettrica, a band with many famous faces from the Italian indie.
Nic Cester returns to Lucca two years after his performance at the Summer Festival, which previewed the album "Sugar Rush" which was to be released a few months later on the Piazza Napoleone stage.
On April 18th Nic Cester & The Milano Elettrica returned to Lucca to compete with a stage rich in history like that of the Teatro del Giglio on which they will propose a show different from that seen on the Italian stages last summer during which they will be reached also by some surprise guests.

GREATEST HITS LIVE 2019
2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Take That career. To celebrate their achievement the band announced a great tour that will lead them to perform their beloved hits live.
Take That also confirmed the release of Odissey, a greatest hits album that takes the listener on a journey through the incredible story of one of the most successful British bands of all time. Before the album's release, fans will get a taste of what's coming with the release of the single "Pray (Odissey Version)" which will be available today. The album "Odyssey", produced by Stuart Price, will be released on November 23rd and will contain 27 tracks that span 3 decades of the band's history, from their debut with "Take That and Party" from 1992 to the present.

GREATEST HITS LIVE
Francesco de Gregori returns to the Lucca Summer Festival accompanied by a large orchestra to present his greatest hits for the first time in a symphonic context.
The orchestra composed of forty elements, will have as its central core the quartet of the Gnu Quartet (formed by Raffaele Rebaudengo in the viola, Francesca Rapetti in the flute, Roberto Izzo in the violin and Stefano Cabrera in the cello) besides the band that accompanies De Gregori for a long time now time.

Few groups in the history of music have individually or collectively left a larger footprint in the popular culture of TOTO members. Individually, the band members can be heard on 5000 albums that globally represent a total sale of half a billion albums. Of all these records, NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) awarded performances with over 200 Grammy Award nominations.

FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD TOUR
Elton John announced that he will perform at the Lucca Summer Festival, in the main square of the city, Piazza Napoleone, on 7 July 2019 within his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour. That of 2019 will be the 22nd edition of the Lucca Summer Festival and it will be the sixth time that Elton will perform in the famous city walls. Tickets will go on general sale on Saturday 21st July at 10 am. American Express holders will have access to the presale reserved for them from 10 am on 18 July 2018.

MACKLEMORE + ANASTASIO
The rapper from Seattle returns to Italy in July and has captivated audiences around the world with the sensitivity of his lyrics and the overflowing energy of his music.
Last year, with the Gemini album, he began his new solo path and next summer Macklemore will return to Italy to present it live in front of the Lucca Summer Festival audience.

TEARS FOR FEARS
RULE THE WORLD TOUR 2019
In Milan they sold out a year in advance for the show they will hold in February at the Mediolanum Forum.
Now the Tears For Fears reciprocate the affection of the Italian public with the new summer dates: their first show in Rome after more than 20 years, and their debut at the Lucca Summer Festival.
A show not to be missed where we will listen to all the successes of a band that is already in the history of pop music.

NEW ORDER + ELBOW
A double-bill with one of the most influential and acclaimed bands of the 80s along with one of the most fascinating British contemporary music groups led by the voice of their frontman Guy Garvey.
New Order - A rare case where the same group of people managed to make a mark on contemporary music twice. On the one hand, the heavy legacy of the legendary Joy Division, a band with a short life but which is still the object of veneration by countless fans all over the world of the post-punk scene (and not only) and which has had an influence on thousands of other bands over the years: on the other hand, the transformation into the New Order, the turning towards an electronic sound and their impact on the next generation of musicians and listeners have made the Manchester band one of the names that have addressed the course of the world music scene as it has succeeded to few others.
Elbow - Over more than twenty years and with seven studio albums, Elbow has won many of those awards that distinguish a successful band. Their bulletin board contains three Ivor Novellos awards, a Mercury Music Prize and a BRIT award for Best British Band. Their most recent albums, "The Take Off and Landing of Everything" (2014) and "Little Fictions" (2017), both debuted at number one in the UK album charts. The singer and leader Guy Garvey, who also has his own radio show on BBC 6 Music, was honored with two awards in 2018 for his contribution to English music.

Mark Knopfler returns for the fourth time on the stage of the Lucca Summer Festival with a show in which he will present his new album "Down The Road Wherever" and will repropose the great songs of his career accompanied by a band of ten elements.
Mark Knopfler, who will release his ninth solo album "Down The Road Wherever" on November 16th, has always seen the tours as an integral part of the path of an album that goes from composing songs to recording to live performances of those songs together to old successes.

That of Lucca will be the first date of "POP HEART SUMMER NIGHTS", his unmissable summer tour. The powerful rap of Salmo and the rock of Måneskin on the same stage in an evening that promises sparks.
SALMO is a pioneer of music who, entering the rap scene, was able to change the genre's features, introducing elements of electronics and rap like had never been seen before in Italy.
Måneskin. THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE QUEEN
Alternative rock will be the protagonist of this special evening.
The super group formed by DAMON ALBARN (voice and mind of Blur and Gorillaz), PAUL SIMONON (legendary bassist of TheClash), TONY ALLEN (drummer and icon of afrobeat) and SIMON TONG (guitarist of Verve) chose Luccca for their single concert in our country.
The Good, the Bad & the Queen is a supergroup formed by Damon Albarn, frontman of Gorillaz and Blur, former Verve guitarist Simon Tong, bassist Paul Simonon of legendary Clash and Nigerian drummer Tony Allen who played for years with Fela Kuti, an afrobeat icon. On November 16, 2018, the group released their second album, Merrie Land, produced by Tony Visconti, the man behind David Bowie's latest masterpiece, Blackstar. The album traced a path from the tradition of the English music hall to West Africa and Afrobeat, zigzagging between the West Indies with their reggae and dub, to return to England and to the London punk scene, at the same time taking elements from British beat music of the 50s to Britpop
